I got 3 mini 14s. Thinking about a mini 30. Nervous about wolf ammo not working in it. What do you guys think?

Build a 7.62x39mm AR.  Put your Minis to shame.  Unless you're a neighbor of a certain penguin.

Wolff and Tula seat their primers low and so Mini-30s can have issues with them. Besides, they are filthy, underpowered, and erratic so why would you want to use them in your Mini? Red Army Std and the better ammo like PPU have a much better reputation in the Mini-30s.  Check out PerfectUnion.com's Mini forum for all things Mini.

I've got 3 ARs and still I like my Mini-14 better for a irons only plinker.  It's more compact, real wood and steel, and more fun to shoot.  The girls like it's more compact size and conventional controls much better than the AR.  Harkens to my M1 Garands, M1 Carbines, and M1A.  My 583 series smacks bowling pins at 200yds with ease using my handloads and a few tweaks to cherry it out.

If you're behind enemy lines, and like wood, the FightLite ARES SCR is an option.
