How long are your arms?  That rifle looks like it has 6" of spacer added to the end.

It may have been answered somewhere in here, but what are those things under the barrel on some of the Mini 14s?  Do they do anything or are they "Truck Nuts" for the Mini 14?

I picked this one up yesterday.  With a different political administration, I can cool off on the "tactical" stuff, and buy some stuff I've just plain ol' wanted for a while.

I've already ordered a few 30s for it, and the Choate handguard (for the purpose of painting brown and mimicking a M1A).

For anyone reading--should I get a standard Accu Strut, or a SOCOM?  And is there any place to buy one that doesn't have a website from 1998?

That's a beauty!  I've never seen a stainless with the mannlicher stock.  What caliber?  My dad had one in 30-06 that I always lusted after, but he sold it years ago much to my dismay.  I always keep an eye out for one of my own.

ETA:  Sorry, that was supposed to include a quote of Bubbatheredneck's post from page 1, but for some reason it didn't work.

Found a brand new "pinned" Butler Creek Folding Stock and de-banned it by removing the blocking spacer piece from the folding mechanism and making it into a proper folder.

Here's my 185 series SS folder. I still have the instruction book and the original cardboard box, which is much shorter than the box that fixed stock rifles were shipped in. If you want to know if a particular rifle came stock with a folder, the front sling swivel is attached to the left side of the gas block instead of the bottom.

77/44 out for zeroing. It’s fitted with a Vortex Razor LH 3-15X42 which is a really nice lightweight scope with a good combination of features.

The bolt handle just clears the eyepiece with high rings. I need a blued set, but dare not try medium height.
