I bought one to try it out and it works fine. It is a little longer than the Ruger 5 rounder. But, you can clip a tab under the follower and it'll hold 6 rounds.

They're a tight fit at first in mine, after a few repetitions I think the bolt shaves off just a little from the top of the feed lips. They work great. |

MDT makes AICS poly mags and steel mags. Links to both bellow.
MDT Polymer Magazines MDT Metal Magazine And Accurate-Mag, which supplies Ruger the magazines for the rifle. If you look a little, the 10rd mag can be found close to $50. Accurate-Mag Metal Magazine Another is Alpha Industries. I have two of the 10rd mags. They are double stack single feed. Very slow to ship orders and communication is not the best. I have one of the original equipment metal, single stack mags that came with my Ruger GSR. It rattles in the magwell, and objectionally so.
When I want to be quiet, I don't want my rifle to betray me, by a simple shifting of the rifle in my hands. There are other mags that are not so subject to unintended noise. |
