I am in the market for a Ruger 77/357. I need to know what is the max OAL cartridge length?
I have 2 bullet molds, a 170gr swc and a 200gr rfp. I do see the use of 200gr plus bullets being used but don't
know if it is in 38 or 357 cases.

Looks like 38 cases are being used for those heavies.

Check out this thread:

The last few pages are reloading-heavy.

I use 190 grain Ranch Dog cast and checked bullets in my 77/357 in .357 cases.  This bullet is the most accurate I have tried.  I don't know what OAL is, it's never been an issue.
