I know Scouts are built now with synthetic stocks.
Anyone know if just the stock is for sale anywhere????

Not yet, supposedly they will be in a few months. We'll see.

Hope so. I love my Scout but it feels like a boat anchor sometimes.

i sold mine because it felt like a "boat anchor".  it always felt super solid though.
i have too many guns in calibers that compete with my "need" for a 308 scout so i decided to sell it.

i dont know what the weight difference is between the laminated and the new poly is but i handle my first poly scout at a gunshow this last weekend and it really feels a lot lighter.

Now if they would make it in .243 or maybe 260 with the poly stock i would "re-add" one back to my collection.

I believe the weight difference is said to be around 3/4 lb. Pretty decent drop.
