Hey all, I'm looking to get a American Compact in 308, and I want to set it up as a scout rifle. I need a favor from anyone who owns one of these. Can you mic the barrel, right up by the barrel nut? As long as the chamber area is a straight taper or slight taper, that's the only measurement I need.

I don't have your info, but I am interested too.

I may go this direction and see if I can add a receiver mounted ghost ring and a front sight of some sort. Half the fun is making the rifle the way you want it.

I just ordered a Ruger Scout Rifle, so this project will have to wait.

I need dimensions at the muzzle and about an inch back from the muzzle. i know they are tapered.

Hopefully the bump will get some more interest.
