just get a mini 30 tact. 7.62x39 is not a +200 yard round. Dont see much sense in a < 200 yard bolt gun, unless its a cricket..
Id suggest a 7mm-08 for the compact. Brush to plains. |

I guess my other thought was that I don't want to spend 850 bucks on this little gun.

Not a bad idea. I've fancied the CZ-527 in 7.62x39, but if Ruger could pull it off for well under $400? I would likely buy one.

I'd pick one up in a heartbeat. Got an AR and a bolt rifle in the same caliber. I need a Ruger American bolt gun to match my AK now. Are you listening Ruger?
