Morgan definitely has a great rep, although I've never used his services.
ADCO (an Industry Partner here) has done a great job on several barrels for me. |

I have a barrel with Morgan now but I might just buy a $90 Faxon barrel and sell your if I were in your shoes

IF it were me, I would just BUILD a new upper in the length that you want, and just swap it out.
But, that's just me.....A few dollars more, but, it gives you lots of options.... |

I'd just buy a barrel. Most of the shorter 9mm barrels are pretty cheap. Mine was under a $100.

Is it DI or blowback? Re-cutting and re-threading and getting a gas port done is more effort than its worth when you could just get a new bbl. If you have a buddy with a lathe then perhaps a case of beer would be more cost-effective, but I digress..

Adco. Have them ramp the bolt too if it is a Colt style system.

Pick up a spinta or ballistic advantage barrel, they are good quality and priced well.
I have had great results with both. |
