My AR lower stamp should be coming through any week now, and I'm getting the itch to do another. Do I want an AK SBR? a bolt action? I will have a dedicated 22 upper for the AR, but do I also want a 7 inch 10/22? Help me!

I like the SBR'd 300 blk bolt guns.

See avatar. What you want is an excellent SBR suppressor host.

Does 7.62x39 play well with 5.56 lowers? I have a complete SBR lower sitting in my safe and was planning on getting a Vortex AMG UH-1 and building a 9mm upper for it (sub for a Scorpion because the stamp is in hand) but I would consider a 7.62x39 upper if that is feasible.

Is there a thread on this somewhere? I've been considering just such a project, but google searches suck due to "bolt" and "sbr" being more commonly related to AR15 bcg inquiries.

If you're looking for something different, I did a T/C Contender several years ago. Lots of caliber / barrel / stock options, and it makes a great suppressor host.

I'm kind of partial to .300 Whisper and .38Spl/.357 Mag suppressed, but I've got a bunch of different barrels for it.

I just finished up my paperwork for a Ruger 10/22 6" barrel SBR folder style stock.

I'm thinking of doing a Browning T-bolt bolt 22LR 9"  barrel SBR  next myself. Been back and forth between a few models of bolt 22LR I have it came down to CZ 455 or T bolt. T-bolt is my favorite Bolt action rifle I shoot suppressed so leaning that way for the SBR. With Mask or a Element II suppressor attached I would still be a Handy overall length for field carry and very quiet overall.

I also really looked at doing a Contender in 38sp 8" barrel.

I've done a couple of bolt actions.  One a full custom Rem 700 in 300BLK.  The other a Mossberg MVP LR-T in 5.56.

I've got a SBR'd Contender too and haven't shot subs in it other than .22lr.  I need to have my 9mm or .357 barrel threaded and play with that more.

I think if I did a bolt action, it would be a Mauser action, maybe one of those cheap 7mm's that are floating around right now. But to rebarrel, or not to rebarrel? That is the question... I think I might want an AK SBR, but they are such trash can guns according to GD. JK

My Wasr10 is at a smith now getting cut to 12.5"
It has a folding triangle stock and I figure a Romanian 75rnd drum would complete the setup

"6 weeks" from yesterday

ETA: as it was before I sent it off. I'll use a sandman S on it occasionally. I'm also getting an ALG trigger installed too

Me? I'll have 3 or 4 different uppers for it. An 8 inch 300 blackout, an 11.5" 5.56, an 11.5" dedicated 22 upper, and a 14.5" M4 Block 1 clone.
