I'm looking for a muzzle device that will give good control and as little movement as possible. Right now I'm looking at the VG6 Gamma EX, does anyone have any experience with this or any others you would recommend.

Those look like nice comps. Maybe I'll buy a few of them and put them on different riffles.

I'm running a PWS CQB. Chunky, but very effective.

Kx3 works fine and is lighter than PWS.  Ymmv.

A regular A2 birdcage works just fine. Everything else seems to have way to much concussion, and flash. The A2 has neither of both. Mine doesn't anyway.

I had an a2......it was loud and concussive.  Then went to a PWS 556.  Worse choice ever.  It redirected the blast 45 degrees back.  I would get in addition to the concussive blast radiating heat onto my forearm.  It was great for clearing out two lanes left and right of me.

Then came the PWS CQB.  Good, but too heavy.  Next came the KX3.  Perfect solution.  Longer, but lighter than PWS.  The blast baffle is rated for 2500 rounds when I called Noveske.  Looks great under a rail.  I didn't care for the Levang comp.  It doesn't look that great in the chicks dig it department.  Much cheaper though.

I already have a PWS 556 on my pinned 14.5 build and I absolutely love it. After reading some reviews and a few videos, I decided to try out the VG6 Gamma EX. It looks like a really good product so if I remember i'll post an after action report. I still need a rail and barrel nut so it wont be finished for a week or two.

STD, Black River Tactical Covert Comp, Levang Linear, etc.  Muzzle blast on 7.5" barrels is unreal, anything that sends it down range instead of back at you is going to be your best bet.

I use the kineti-tech brake and blast cone.  They are pretty cheap and work well.

If you're not going to suppress, I like the Spikes Barking Spider 2. It's basically a modernized Four-part comp with a single baffle. It does great reducing the concussion and increase reliability.

I got rid if my 7.5" AR w/kx3 because it rattled my teeth. I'll admit it was a little fun for a short duration.  You are crazy if you're going to put a muzzle brake on the end.

Sadly here in MA, suppressors are not allowed by peasants.

Another vote for the Troy Claymore. I had a KX-3 and decided I wanted a smaller and lighter device. All the forces and fireball are directed forward just like the pig, but in a much smaller package.

Why in the world would he do that?

Hint, look at what forum this is posted in.

Miculek brake. Because it clears the range.

Ditto. A bit heavy but no blast at all and improves cycling.

Any 7.5 inch will just be brutal and a brake would only make it more jarring

But if control is what you want and you are on a budget, look at the pof brake, I have one and it works well. Cheaper than the Lantac dragon or sure fire brake
