No, unless it's an 80% lower.
Your trust is the licensee/permitee. The manufacturer is the company engraved on the lower. The model is what's engraved on the lower. If you're asking that basic of a question, and were about to answer it incorrectly, you might want to use this. |

Guess I should be glad I saw this....I followed another guide and did my e-file wrong since I put in the lower info on the form and didn't do the FMI thing.

You know...I don't know if it'll work or not. If you were filing paper, you'd do it that way. The ATF may have added the FMI option because if you don't input a known manufacturer it goes into Pending Research. FMI allows them to skip all those "touches" by the examiners. I don't recall seeing anybody report back that they did it the wrong way and let it get all the way to the Approved/Disapproved step in the process. |

When I did mine I also took a picture of the lower that showed the manufacturer and serial number clearly and attached it to the form.
