Almost done with my 300 Blk 8.5" SBR

It's all top-end stuff and I'm pretty much left with the optics decision.

Vortex Razor HD Gen II 1-6
or
Aimpoint Micro T-2

I like magnification. On mine I went with the Leupold Mark 4 blackout 1.5-5. It's got a great reticle.

But between your two choices I'd say it just depends on what you're going to use it for.

I have a SPARC with a 2x magnifier on my semi.
And a shotgun scope on my Handi.

I shoot subs, and I zero @ 100yds.

I feel it is a short range firearm. 200 or less yards.

I normally like magnification but on the really short uppers, I feel red dot's look better.  If it was a 10.5 I would say Razor.  8.5 would be a light weight build to me, so I say t2

The scopes you listed are very nice, but out of my price range.
I went with the Primary Arms 1-6x24.
Will be here in a few, but others here really like them on their 30 BO.

The Razor is a beast of a scope. Awesome, but it's going to affect the way your rifle handles in a major way. Of your two options, I would pick the Aimpoint T-2.

If you're open to other options, a TA33 ACOG would give you 3x magnification. An Aimpoint T2 in a LaRue LT-660 weighs about 5.8 ounces and a TA33 ACOG in a LaRue LT-105 weighs about 9.8 ounces. Versus the Razor that's a little over 2 pounds with a mount.

^^THIS^^ - I have the Razor 1-6 Gen II on my 12.5" SBR in 5.56 and it is awesome, but a BEAST at 25 oz + mount.  I shoot this gun from a bench 90% of the time.

I am not sure what you are going to do with your weapon or how you plan to shoot it.  I run a mini red dot on my 9" SBR 300BLK.  Then I run a Viper PST 1-4 on my 12.2" SBR 300BLK.  Both have their purposes. If you plan to shoot primarily from a bench then go with the Razor (excellent scope).....however, if you plan to "run and gun" with it, then the red dot is the way to go.

Most of all my gear is just range time, hunting paper (It will be an 8.5". I already have an Aimpoint T-2 that I had originally dedicated for my Benelli M4, but I believe it's going to be available and put an RMR on the Benelli. I've always wanted one of those 1-6x Vortex for something, but not sure what they would be best for. I have a couple of TA11 ACOGS and a TA33 on the Tavor.

Alternatively I suppose I could use the T-2 on the 300 Blackout SBR, move the mini-Acog to my next project (308 SBR) and do a 1-6 Razor HD on the Tavor?
