Still gathering parts but I want to file and get it started...have the lower...

I want to run a LWRC ultra compact stock setup/receiver extension kit and vltor mur with a 5.25 or 5.5" qc10 9mm barrel...I just want to get the hard part out of the way while I gather the stock and parts.

Anyone have the overall length with that stock setup? I plan to run a suppressed Sico Octane 9 and run a seekins bar rail.

Do I need to be exact? First time e-filing. I have my trust all setup.. Already ordered the octane through silencershop.

Thanks

Doesn't have to be exact,  just get close. We expect pics.

The octanes outer diameter is quite wider than some other suppressors, not saying it won't fit but when I used to use my ti-rant suppressor it was scratch my suppressor inside my Samson Evo rail. But I switched to a AAC Evo suppressor and its slides in easy. Also added a 3 lug adaptor to make it even easier on and off.

Btw I have a similar set up, a ddles lower with 5.5 inch barrel suppressed under than handguard. But have a standard magpul stock

here's mine with out the suppressor

I'm using a 5.5 inch bbl from Adco. Haven't had a single problem with it in 500 or so rounds.....And I don't seem to have any pics handy.

Doesn't that compact stock use a proprietary buffer? Will that work with a 9mm buffer.

It's an old rifle... so from what I remember either 5 or 5.5 inch barrel, tros 3 lug adaptor, with a samson evo rail, I'll measure it for you later.

It does come with the stock kit. Also, slash makes a heavy buffer specific to the stock/tube

M13.5 left hand threads. I've only shot it to 30 yards but standing off hand Im able to keep my shots on an 8inch target with MBUS sites. I'm not a very good shot either.

It just depends on your preference. I wanted a qd that I could take on and off even under a rail and already have a mp5 in the works so a 3-lug was a no brainer.

Tros 5" three lug barrel
Lancer carbon fiber handguard 7.2" long
Octane 9 HD with 3 lug adapter

FYI - I'm running an Octane 45 under a Seekins SAR in case you want to go with a thinner profile handguard.  The BAR is nice but too thick for my taste.

I think I might just have to go the 3 lug route! Too bad TROS is 10-12 weeks out!

Mine is threaded 1/2x28, and I added a TROS 3 lug adaptor to it, set with rocksett. I originally had mine set up so I can thread it on directly, but it's hard to get the thread started sometimes, it's possible the suppressor can loosen up,  and I was scratching the crap out of my suppressor on the sides.  Plus since it was so short, I literally had only ~2 inches to grip on a hot suppressor when trying to remove it. Now, I just press down and do a 1/3 twist and its off. It added a little length to the over all length though..
