Love an outside-the-box build. Very well thought out, and very cool.

I saw this in the other thread on the PDW stocks.  I must say, this is a great looking build.  Good work combining the MP5 rubber with the YHM rail.  Is ASA still in business? I thought they had went under.

They're still pumping out uppers (and I think complete rifles), or at least they were last Dec. when I was in Scottsdale. They have a storefront not too far from Dillon as I recall.

Congrats on a nice-looking build!

This thread has got me wondering... Could you run that Troy PDW stock on a 9mm AR? I know that stock requires use of a custom carrier, what I don't know, is what buffer is/isn't required on a 9mm BCG.

Compression/friction fit.  The inner diameter of the grip is almost the exact same size as the other diameter of the Yankee Hill (maybe a fraction smaller). The dimensions are so close it was a real effort to get it on.  Its main purpose is a heat guard between the aluminum rail and my hand just like any other hand guard on a standard quad rail.

If the Troy doesn't, the ARC should.
