Looks like processing of e-file Form 1 is slowing down again. Don't know where all the examiners went in May but their throughput went from slow to effing ridiculous.
Here's a snapshot of May production: START SAMPLE Submitted 07/07/2016 Control # 3234xx Approved 05/01/2017 END SAMPLE Submitted 07/11/2016 Control # 3301xx Approved 06/01/2017 Monthly production 6700 approvals over 31 days, or 216 per day. This compares to mid-March where in the previous 30 days, ATF approved 10,600 e-filed Form1s, or about 350 per day. So, it looks like production has dropped by a third since early spring. You can see that it took ATF a month to move through four days of applications. I'd guess that that all the "extra staff" we heard about earlier are back to other duties because you can just wait since there is NO accountability for those folks. Good work if you can get it. |

I submitted 3 that went pending on 7/9.
The first was approved yesterday. There are 43 entries between my first and second and 12 between the second and third. Should be interesting to track how many days it take them to get through that many forms. I entered them all within two hours and that's the gap between the three. |

Submitted 5 eForm 1 on 07/10/2016 within 4-5 hours from first to last.
1st approved 05/24/2017 2nd approved 5/31/2017 My control #'s between the 1st and 2nd were ~400 apart. Basically a week to move 400 on mine in the queue. The 3rd - 5th have a span of ~800 control numbers and I'm hoping this week. Not sure why they didn't take everything in my queue from that date and batch approve them for me. That would seem logical. Read the trust one time since it's the same trust on all forms and individually approve the forms. |

What I'm curious about is this: We're almost at the very end of pre-41F eForm approvals. It's going extremely slow because there's a huge amount of forms that people tried to jam in before 41F, aside from ATF's general incompetence. I wonder how many post-41F submissions there are and how long it will take them to get through them. While I'm excited to build my SBS, what I really want is my Form 4 for my MP40 I submitted in October.

Received 7/14/16 Pending 7/18/16 Approved 5/24/17 Call today from dealer 6/2/17 Control # 201774XXX Five more Form 1s to go... sent all six forms together. The Form 4 went pending on 7/18, while the Form 1s went pending on 7/20. Nice lady at ATF said that was odd. I didn't think about it until after we hung up, but the Form 4 was sent with a check, while the Form 1s were paid by CC. |

Finally!! Today was a great day!!
Received all five of my approved Form 1s in the mail today. I sent out all five applications, with my trust information, last July 8th, 2016 with the checks being cashed on July 19th. They were all approved and dated on May 20th, 2017 and took another 12-13 days for them to reach my mail box. ...Hang in there and keep the faith!! They're coming!! With all this said, I want to thank everybody that posted their timelines for their Form 1s. Your information help me "guess-A-mate" when I might receive the approved applications back... Also, you guys helped me to keep my sanity and from calling the AFT to see what was going on!! |

Not approval but they did send my my form for a correction.
I sent it in last week of July, card hit first week of August. Hopefully, it won't be too long but I know they are looking at my stuff now. |
