Does anyone know if the ATF examiners are still on their unlimited overtime program? I remember a while back when people got eForms approved all hours of the day and night. Seems like that has stopped.
|
|
|
Yeah, I would guess "no" on the unlimited OT. All the form times I've seen have been during normal biz hours. Some on weekends, but not many 2AM specials.

Just got off the phone with ATF. I submitted a Form 1 in September. Lady told me they are now processing August applications. She said I should be getting my stamp in roughly two months.

View Quote That seems highly optimistic, and when considering the eForms website was crashed and killed 2 days early by people submitting Form 1s like crazy, I think you're a ways off from seeing an approved September submission. |

Woke up in LV on the 1st day of Shot to 4 approvals
37500'ish File 6/9 2 more to go |

View Quote If there is one maxim in life it's this: never listen to what an ATF CSR tells you about wait times. They aren't examiners, they don't really care, and they are just parroting (hopefully) what some supervisor told them recently. They are like a broken clock...sure, right a couple times a day, but so often in error that it's not even worth listening too. pending date and approval date is all these people REALLY know for sure. |

Nice catch. I have weight on the brain these days, thanks to running the AR parts weights database.

|
Send an email to [email protected], with the subject line of "EForms DRAFT watermark", and include the name on the application, the control number you see near the top of Page 1, and the serial number. Usually gets fixed fairly quick.
I had it also, they had it corrected in a couple of hours. |

Not that it's a lot speedier than it looks on the graph, just that the graph isn't anywhere near perfect. But that vertical thing? Thank Washington State's legislature for finally allowing SBRs; there were a ton of new applications JUST as the surge of "beat rule 41(f)" applications appear to have been peaking. Perfect storm and all that... |
