Don't know what it takes or where to buy the barrel apart from a stripped upper, but I really like my 12.5" BCM "Kino" config upper. Pictured in grey here:

FN via PSA, CHF. I have one in 5.56 and 300BLK, more accurate than me. You will pay far less that way, but are getting an FN barrell.

My PSA FN 12" is awesome.
But for the money it would be hard to beat ballistic advantage. I've got a 10.5 and 14.5 from em that are excellent barrels. |

I like AR15Performance barrels. I have his 12.5" and 16" 6.8 barrels. Another good option appears to be MicroMOA. They have posted some impressive groups shot with their barrels. |
