If you’re looking for more eye relief the magnifier does not need to hug the optic. You likely know this but does give more stock positioning options.

I took off the G43 magnifier and added a Magpul BUIS set. Until I get an ACOG (T1 replacement) and offset an RMR for the BUS that will replace the BUIS. I can still mount the 43 in a pinch and have added a pouch to my belt to use to store and as a monocular when it isn't prudent to scout ahead while pointing a rifle at people to ID or occupied areas. Other than a can, I am really liking this one.

Colt FBI with SOCOM profile 11.5
FCD lower part for all the interfacing
BCM 10 MCMR and Gunfighter comp
LWRC PDW UCIW
Geissele SSA
Surefire M300
Modlite pressure pad
Arisaka offset scout mount
LaRue micro Aimpoint mount
Aimpoint T1

Yes, please do
Who welded on the rail? I need a rail welded on a classic gun like that
My concern is having it parallel to the bore

I did and it doesn't look great

I just leveled it to the best of my abilities and I haven't had any issues so far. Zeros just fine and it's not going anywhere

Thanks!  I like it tucked more forward for charging handle access, I've given that priority over eye relief.  I had it back and worked a malfunction and realized the body of the magnifier being in the way a bit wasn't ideal.

And you're right, the eye relief as set is workable but visibility through the magnifier is reduced for sure.

For longer shots, I just collapse the stock all the way and it's perfect.

Makes sense

I have an Armageddon Tac CH which is great for the blowback and also allows for a good grab around a magnifier...more options

2x RC2s and PRI gasbusters on the way for these rifles, and I think I'll call them good.

I got my stick back from getting Cerakote yesterday. I’ve since moved the ACOG back a little.
