So few non-tactical 10/22 SBR's around... I really wanted that factory look. Here it is with its stock brother for comparison.

8" barrel, cut and threaded by Grumpy's

So short without the suppressor, and for some reason I walk around the garage muttering "argh matey"

Just got the form 1 approval for this 553R. Planning on installing an MRO instead of the Aimpoint. I havent had a chance to install suppressor. Four position gas selector are factory installed on the r’s. Its maiden voyage went well.

Trying the A3F stock out. Better with the RDS height but not as comfortable as the A2.

I’m waiting on my M-lok handguard, Trijicon Credo HX 1-6 and Scalarworks mount. The BRS stock is miles better than the CTR that came on it. I couldn’t get low enough to use the sights with the CTR. The BRS has a friction lock when closed not a detent. I have a couple of the factory adjustable gas plugs to mess with.

24.5” with the stock folded

31.5” Rugged 3 chamber muzzle brake

33.25” with blast diverter

36” with the normal end cap. 36.625” with flash hider end cap

This is about perfect for me.  The only thing I would change is the light/switch.  This light was a spare so I just slapped it on.  Recent changes were the Pakse handguard, Magpul VFG and the Holosun 507C.  Can't wait to shoot it again.

Sure! That is my IMI Micro Galil Model 699. This particular Micro was one of the last production runs of the MAR before the IMI Magen Division split to become IWI and retooling began for the ACE series, which in my opinion makes it a little unique. It contains all of the MAR upgrades before the ACE series redesign. This Micro was issued to an Israeli police department (star symbol) before being sold to the importer I purchased it from. I purchased it as a parts kit, sourced a barrel, and purchased a tortort 80% micro receiver. The receiver and build was completed by Jeff Miller of Hillbilly Firearms. All markings and serial numbers were transferred to the new receiver and the original FCG was neutered and retained. Overall I'm very pleased with this build. I've owned it for probably close to two years and it was worth the cost.

The only departure from the original is the finish - which is a nitride. The original, like most galils was a park and paint. I believe the original paint was an engine bake on finish that is apparently very difficult to come by in the US, which is why nitride is so popular in Galil builds today.

If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to answer them to the best of my abilities.

Glad you liked it!

Very nice.  It think this might be the first one I've seen in an SBR configuration.

That's pretty cool. What's the adapter to make it work?

@YaBoyKGTho

Revolutionary Roller Locks MP5 ACR Stock Adapter

I honestly thought this setup may not wok out because the ACR stock is a bit heavy. But it actually balances the gun very well.
