technically or legally?

legally, it's not a problem here in Italy as far as it's done by an importer and the mod is permanent.
technically, I'm not sure as it's the first Ak style for me and I'm not familiar with its FCG... the selector will move to the Auto marked position but the FCG as been modified to shoot semi, while the original Semi position as been blocked.

ETA:
ok gave a look at the FCG... the auto sear is gone of course and a steel block welded in place to prevent the reinstall; hammer and disconnector have modified as well.
The part of the bolt carrier that engage the auto sear has been milled off too.

Thanks! On the first outing I fired ~130 rounds or so of Wolf and had zero issues. I did however keep the gun pretty wet. I was regularly hitting 8 " plates at 200 and inconsistently hitting a 12" plate at 300. The muzzle blast from that brake was wicked and I could feel the concussion on my hand. It just felt very... America'. Hopefully in the next month or so my Form 4 will clear on my AAC SDN6 (waiting over 8 months now!) and that won't be an issue anymore.

swapped a 3.5 acog on for the steel shooting.
