Anyone have any recommendations for companies offering type III anodizing for finished receivers?

I heard these guys are good

http://www.usanodizing.com/

Make sure whoever you choose have a FFL appropriate for the work... they can send it back to you as "repairs".

That's who I've seen recommended from my googling, but it looks like they're not taking any work. Any other suggestions?

Synergy Metal Finishing.

Also in FL. Cheaper and faster than US anodizing, and they hold an FFL.

They are fast with communication.

US anodizing would take weeks or months to get back to me.

I think they do the anodizing for the shops that make lowers on a variance. I bet they have all the work they can handle.

So I ended up having HKILLER here anodize my lowers, and I just got them back today. Turn around time was about a week, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The anodizing is on par with my Noveske gen II lowers, and his pricing was the cheapest I've seen. Lighting was a little funky in the picture, but they're all the same color.

If you can find anyone that can do tans and/or browns, let me know

I've done a bit of research as I do some anodizing at home.
When you do a thick hard coat of Type III anodizing, the result is a dark color. This is not a dye, it is the thick anodized layer.
Type III hard coat anodizing is not used for parts requiring color, as the dye can decrease hardness (opposite of the reason for Type III anodizing).
Type II anodizing is what you'd be looking for.

I know.

I know it is possible .

Just not easy.

Which I may end up going Type II. Still a bit better than Cerakote, etc.
