I'll watch the videos later.
One of the guys from work, an ex tool and die guy, and a member here is up there this week. He tells me to figure out someway to justify a sponsored trip up there next year.
Years ago there was a similar show in St. Louis and I always hope we'll see another one but I shouldn't hold my breath, that's probably viewed as too icky 'round here.
For a couple of years at work now I've been advocating more complicated machined parts that eliminate assembly of machined details. For a long time we've been hide bound to manufacture flat details, preferably machined on one side. That sort of works okay in airframes, but the subsystem equipment suffers hard from that approach.
On the other hand, I'm working on an assembly now that requires reaching under a flange with the head in order to remove excess material, and I'm anxious to watch it in action.
