Just picked up a carbine... what vertical foregrip can be installed (with or without first installing a picatinny rail)
|
|
[#2]
Looking at the HBI handguards, I wish they could offer a "mid length" that would be between the pistol and carbine length.
For those of us that use a tube and brace with a sling, pushing forward on a side mounted hand stop can be a little uncomfortable on the shorter length handguard that the pistol has. The carbine one with no suppressor seems too long for this task...so, something in between could get our hand stop out a bit further and our wrists would love it. In a perfect world sort of scenario. |

Just came across this page...might be a couple more alternatives for those with newer 2016 (1/2" - 28) threads? Their designs are pretty similar to others on the market, but still some alternatives to the factory parts. I have no affiliation with this site, and have not ordered anything from them myself.

Hope I'm not jumping any guns but it looks like someone besides Yeti is making Scorpion grips.
Preorder at Brownells. http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/grip-parts/pistol-grips/cz-scorpion-evo-3-s1-optimized-pistol-grip-prod96906.aspx |

Wish there was a pic without it. Promising! |

I went ahead and per-ordered. I'll let you all know how it goes.

I have explained no problem with its other characteristics. |

Wish we could get a simple grip that is just a scorpion version of the MOE-K grip. The factory one is WAY to long, inexplicably bulbous. It's weird.

Once you have it installed (besides posting pics...like you said you will) can you see if the trigger guard assembly can be pulled out without loosening the grip and sliding it back, please? I am told that is needed with the Yeti grip. |

I cannot say that I am in love with the look when it's installed. That isn't so important. I know I would like the grip angle better.
Thanks for the pic and the info...nice CZ! |

I also installed the Apex.
I like it, the increased angle helps keep the safety from digging into your finger. With the original grip it was actually a little painful with the safety banging into my trigger finger every shot. This doesn't eliminate it but helped enough that I'm thinking of keeping the factory safety and just shorten it a little bit instead of replacing it. |

Does anyone have the Mini AK Style Safety on their gun? I have the Parker Mountain Machine safeties on both sides of the gun right now and even with the small the on the right side it still digs into my trigger finger so I was thinking about the AK style and I like the look of the smaller one better, I just wonder if it's long enough to actually be easy to use too because that'd be nice.

Anyone know where I can get a factory handstop? CZ lists them, but out of stock. Many people probably have theirs in the spare parts box...I need one.
Wonder if anyone else sells them. |
