Gentlemen, when it comes to levers, I like the old stuff.

Thanks.  Don't sell the Marlins short, I used to be a Winchester only guy.  Only 4679 Marlin Model 1881s made in 45-70.  This one is in nice shape.  I wouldn't call it common.

The Model 71 is my favorite of all.  I consider it the apex lever rifle, made during the height of Winchester's manufacturing excellence.

When I was young I hunted a lot with an old guy who used a Deluxe Model 71 with the bolt peep . What a great rifle. It's too bad that it was only chambered in the .348 Winchester. Ammunition is over the top expensive for it now if you can find it at all.

Wow...  great collection of rifles.  I have nine lever action rifles myself but my oldest is a 1953 Marlin 336SC in .32 WS.  I am envious. Thank you for the pictures.
