Hey guys I need some help to see if this is a good deal or not as I have never owned a lever action rifle

A buddy's dad is selling a few guns and asked me if I would like to buy any of them. Out of the bunch I think I may help him out and pick up his Marline 30-30 which I have shot before and liked. I believe it was made in the early 70's and has Bushnell 3x9 scope that may be factory (not 100% sure). From what I recall it was in great condition and rarely shot, he is asking $300.

So would that be a pretty good deal? From what research I did the normal resale would be between $300 to $600.

$300 is a good price for a nice old 336

We have 2 WM supercenters here where I live. One pulled them, the other didn't.

That's funny because the Walmart closest to Columbine High School sells them as do all the Walmarts in the SE Denver metro area. You can even order guns from them too.
