Gonna need some more pictures of this guy, or even better a full on review.  I'm really looking to pick one up.

1965 Savage 99F in .308 with original B&L Balvar 8A scope/mount. I refinished the stock since this picture was taken. I'll have to get a new photos in a couple days when I go out hunting and will add them at that time. I also have a 1959 Savage 99 in .300 savage that I will add at a later time.

ETA: Updated photo as promised

I love the straight grip Marlins, so much so that I don't understand why they ever made anything else.

What was the deciding factor for you on the rifle vs carbine version?  Seen a few carbine BBS suppressed but not as many rifles.

I wanted as many rounds as possible. That was the main deciding factor. Plus, I like the look of the tube and the barrel being almost the same length. Maybe later down the road, I'll SBR it. I'll probably cut it down to when I have the can attached, it will be as long as the carbine. I might get silly and get something in a larger caliber...45-70 or something larger if that exists.

I just posted them in other threads here...

Marlin 1895SBL .45/70.  Bead blasted by yours truly.  Ultradot 30mm red dot.

Sears 54 .30-30.  Cerakote and Duracoat.  Optional peep sight which makes that side of the receiver not look like a metal shop project gone wrong.

I am a new owner of a 2003 336C. I have always wanted a lever gun and now I have one. My son-in-law bought himself one for Christmas last year and I have lusted over it ever since. I had an opportunity to trade for mine a couple of weeks ago. I added the big loop and deleted the safety after I brought her home...

Here's my pawnshop rescue.  $250 a year or two ago.  1985 JM Marlin 336 TS in 30-30 Winchester.  She came dirty and with a good bit of wear but she's a gem once cleaned up.  I added the Weaver 1-3x20 Classic V scope and the saddle ring safety delete.  Hope to take a deer or two with her this year.

Ha!,  Never considered putting my osprey on my 44 mag.  Just had it threaded (non JM version)   Had planned on putting either the octane 45 or Hybrid on it.   I'll throw on the osprey and see how it sounds.

A couple of Winchester/Miroku 1895's. The one on the right is a .30-06 centennial, I've had it a few years now. The other is a .30-40 Krag that I picked up a week ago. Both were NIB but neither are destined to be a safe queen, they will both be used and hunted with, I just have to get time to work up loads for them.

Nice older BLR.

I've got one in .358 with the old-style camel hump magazine like that, too, but its condition isn't anywhere near as nice.  What's this one chambered for?

My 1895 Miroku in 30-40 Krag has put a few bucks in my wallet from placing in my club's lever action rifle shoot.  A Williams peep sight with a Lyman cast bullet makes my rifle a sure winner year after year!
