I got a new Laview system in saturday to replace an old Samsung system I had for several years.  Image quality was great and install was a breeze as I just replaced the cameras I had as well as the NvR.

One issue, the cameras will not come out of "Night Mode".  I have disconnected them several times, tapped on them, shined a flash light at them etc... No effect.  I have reset the entire NVR as well, nothing.  Any ideas?  I cant seem to find anything definitive other than "knock on them a few times" (which i tried) via google, so I came here for the usual wealth of knowledge...

Thanks all, Happy Easter!

You could hard reset the cameras themselves.  I believe Laview at some point used rebranded Hikvisions.  However using my google skills, I did find directions on how to specifically reset Laview ones

1. Press and hold the reset button on the camera
2. Connect a power plug to the camera (I use an old plug from BNC camera setup thatr will power it.  You'll know if it works if you see the IR light up, even if just for a few seconds).
3. Hold the reset button for 30 seconds more

If it is like Hikvision, this should reset it back to how it came from the factory....

In case you're wondering, I found the directions here:
