Next Level Armament is currently making new charging handles for the MPX. This is one of the first prototypes that a few of us got to test. They will be also making them for the MCX down the road.

I will keep this thread updated on how it is working out. So far, it works great so much easier to grab and pull. Both sides will unlock, so it is full ambi control. Still has some play/swag but the next run of test handles will be addressing strength and durability along with rigidity of the handle. This handle was just made to test interference and working of the MPX, so far I love it!

does it help with blowback like the gas buster one does?

does this eliminate that wobbly feel? in other words. does it eliminate the CHEAP feel?

ETA - nevermind saw you addressed it..

Possible Price?

No, as of now it does not address the blowback of the gas issue. Also, this is one of the first prototypes. Right now they are wanting to test to make sure it is clearing everything and no issues with Ambi controls. They will be looking to make these better as more testing gets done. I have not heard anything on pricing as of yet.

I am in the loop with Next level Arms and as I give them more feedback and receive more feedback from them on design and price I will keep this thread updated.

This is great to finally see, but my main interest would be if it were to help block/divert blowback when running suppressed.

+1, would be my next upgrade if it helped with blow back.

They also need to make sure to include radius angle on bottom so that charging handle will not dig into receiver which is minor annoyance on mpx.

Ok, here is a report on the charging handle after a few trips to the range.

1. No issues as of yet, working great and very happy with it.
2. Gas issues you all speak of, I get none with my MPX, I am right handed shooter and I shoot suppressed 115gr and up, and I have never had an issue with gas blowing back in my face with the MPX. I have an 300 blackout SBR that throws some gas in my face but nothing major. But, that being said they are discussing a gas buster so to speak.
3. Yes, it still has slop/sag in it and it does rub the upper in spots just like the OE, but they are working on that issue with the 2nd round of handles shipping out to be tested.
4. They are going to be making one for the MCX also, just do not know when.
5. I do not know price yet, a lot of people have asked and they are not giving prices out yet.
6. I will update this thread once 2nd set of handles go out for testing along with reviews.

Can I be a "BETA" Tester?????

Ok, Next Level Armament has made a piece to work with their charging handle to fix the slop issues. Here is a few pics of it and as you can see the handle does not droop down at the back when fully extended. I have not shot the MPX yet since I got this new piece in today, but so far by just putting the handle through a workout without shooting it seems to be working great. Will post updates as I get to the range and get some time in behind the trigger.

Here is some different pics from another tester.

Suhweet!  When shooting suppressed, lots of gas gets funneled through the gaps between the spring plate,  upper, and charging handle.   From the pics it looks like the gaps are minimized so I'm hoping suppressed gas blowback is also minimized.

Seriously? These are brand new and he's clearly making steps to get them out. Maybe give them a chance before you start throwing around accusations.

Not a big fan of their marketing logos but nonetheless its a better charging handle. Here's the scoop directly from next level armament," Ground zero precision jumped the gun and already has them on their site. Next level will have them on their site at 8 am EST Friday. Rainier arms and tactical shit will have them available on the weekend."

I ordered my charging handle and will take pictures once it arrives.

Will also post pics of finished product once I get mine too. Found out last night that the testers will get to keep the prototype and for our time we get a new finished one too that will ship out before they release the others to the public, I believe Monday June 12 was when they would ship to the testers.

For those interested, they are also now working on the same setup for the MCX right now too. So they will be releasing it also, just not sure when but this year. It will include charging handle and block to replace the factory plastic block on the MCX just like the MPX.

Pretty sure it comes in a kit, I do not know this for sure as I haven't asked or seen anyone else ask. So, you may want to email next level and ask them.
