does this eliminate that wobbly feel? in other words. does it eliminate the CHEAP feel?
ETA - nevermind saw you addressed it.. Possible Price? |
No, as of now it does not address the blowback of the gas issue. Also, this is one of the first prototypes. Right now they are wanting to test to make sure it is clearing everything and no issues with Ambi controls. They will be looking to make these better as more testing gets done. I have not heard anything on pricing as of yet.
I am in the loop with Next level Arms and as I give them more feedback and receive more feedback from them on design and price I will keep this thread updated. |
This is great to finally see, but my main interest would be if it were to help block/divert blowback when running suppressed.

They also need to make sure to include radius angle on bottom so that charging handle will not dig into receiver which is minor annoyance on mpx.

Ok, here is a report on the charging handle after a few trips to the range.
1. No issues as of yet, working great and very happy with it. 2. Gas issues you all speak of, I get none with my MPX, I am right handed shooter and I shoot suppressed 115gr and up, and I have never had an issue with gas blowing back in my face with the MPX. I have an 300 blackout SBR that throws some gas in my face but nothing major. But, that being said they are discussing a gas buster so to speak. 3. Yes, it still has slop/sag in it and it does rub the upper in spots just like the OE, but they are working on that issue with the 2nd round of handles shipping out to be tested. 4. They are going to be making one for the MCX also, just do not know when. 5. I do not know price yet, a lot of people have asked and they are not giving prices out yet. 6. I will update this thread once 2nd set of handles go out for testing along with reviews. |

Suhweet! When shooting suppressed, lots of gas gets funneled through the gaps between the spring plate, upper, and charging handle. From the pics it looks like the gaps are minimized so I'm hoping suppressed gas blowback is also minimized.

Update!
Ranier Arms and Ground Zero Precision will have these in stock 2.5-3 weeks out for sale. |
Tagging for updates.
If they address the gas blowback as well I'm game for one for the mpx and MCX |
I think that the CH is the only thing on my MPX that I hate, so this looks like a great replacement.

Charging handles are being sent to be anodized. So shouldn't be much longer before they are available!

Are they going to release any pre-ordering for those of us that are ready to buy now?

Not a big fan of their marketing logos but nonetheless its a better charging handle. Here's the scoop directly from next level armament," Ground zero precision jumped the gun and already has them on their site. Next level will have them on their site at 8 am EST Friday. Rainier arms and tactical shit will have them available on the weekend."
I ordered my charging handle and will take pictures once it arrives. |
Will also post pics of finished product once I get mine too. Found out last night that the testers will get to keep the prototype and for our time we get a new finished one too that will ship out before they release the others to the public, I believe Monday June 12 was when they would ship to the testers.
For those interested, they are also now working on the same setup for the MCX right now too. So they will be releasing it also, just not sure when but this year. It will include charging handle and block to replace the factory plastic block on the MCX just like the MPX. |
Will the spring plate be available for purchase separately? or does it only come as a kit

These are available to pre-order from Ground Zero!
