Does anyone know if/when Sig will be selling the shorter blackout barrels? I think like in the 6" range. Anyone have one and tested it with supers?

They are selling them now.  As to when they will ship, who knows.

My 16" 300BLK barrel shipped the day after I ordered it.

I have had a 6.75" 300 barrel on order, since March.  So I am going on 11 months, and no ship date in sight.   Waiting for my SBR form1 was a nap by comparison.

I am sure making an extra 25,000 bolt carrier groups for this recall has not helped.   I am crossing my fingers for summer

I really wanted a short 5.56 barrel, and I just had to wind up getting mine cut.  If I ever run into a spare 16" barrel, I may pick one up, but it's not high on my priority list.

So what is the deal on the 300 Blackout 6.75" Barrel? It's not listed anywhere. Sig says 9" in 300 and 11.5" in 5.56.

Also if they do release a 6.75" Barrel, will they have a shorter handguard to match? Shortest handguard I have seen was the 9" Barrel version.

My order says:

Part number:    CALX-MCX-6B-300B
Description:     CAL-X KIT, SIGMCX, 300 BLK, 30RD MAG, 6.75IN

As for what handguard goes with that, I expect most people will opt for one of the "suppressor compliant"  (fat)  handguards.  I have never seen a K sized handguard for MCX.

Anybody got any pics of MCX lancer hand guard with suppressor? Anybody have these in hand yet?

First I have heard of these, as I was told by product development within Lancer that these were not even in development.

Edit: Just emailed Lancer and although you can item add to cart there is still a 14 WEEK lead time before product is ready for shipping.

When did you order it? I have had an order placed since May 2016.

I was talking about the aluminum variety, as shown at SHOT2016:

I have all sizes - 6.75" handles supers just fine.

9" 300BO and 11.5" 556 barrels/exchange kits are starting to ship.

Any chance they are selling upper/stock kits for the MCX that could go on a SBR ar15 lower?

Im hoping I can snag one of those 6 inch barrels if they have any that aren't preordered. Would love to see what the lancer hand guard looks like on SBR.

I gave up waiting and found a cheap 16" 556 barrel on gun broker. Waiting till I find a 300 blk barrel and will send the both to get cut.

That way way I can do away with the tapered muzzle as well.

FYI - gas systems are longer on the 16" 300BO vs the 9" and 6.75"

I was wondering about that. For awhile I was seeing different OP rods but haven't in a while.
Are the "caliber conversion kits" still coming with different rods?

ETA
Im planning on having them both cut to 10.5". Will that be a problem using a 16" 300BO barrel?

The 9" 300 barrels have a shorter gas system for a reason.  Cutting a 16" length gas sytem gun to 10.5" might cause issues with dwell time, especially with subsonic 300s.
