So I decided to get some chrono numbers today to see the velocity of the good defense and hunting ammo in various platforms. I found the velocity for ammo out of the MPX with 8" barrel, as well as Glock 19 gen4, my BCM 9" 300 Blackout, 11.5" BCM 5.56, and 16" BCM recce type rifle. All platforms were suppressed and chrono was at 8 feet from muzzle. All are measured in feet per second fps. I was amazed at how little difference there was in fps with the Federal HST in +p and not. Thought y'all might be interested to save $100 per case on regular 147 HST instead of +P stuff. Also, clearly the 9" blackout is still the best gun ever considering the ballistics compared to the MPX and its the same length when suppressed. Also realized that the difference in MPX and G19 are not significant, so cutting the MPX barrel down to 5 inches probably won't make much of a difference in velocity, and will save 3" of length. I will definitely be doing that at some point.
