Any significant differences between the two, or just who imported it?

I think on the diopters the m and m had tritium sights.  Also the rail on the m and m was picitinny spec without the center cut and the rear sight folded backwards instead of forward

That is correct on the diopter models. Otherwise, the ones I've examined are exactly the same in finish and quality. I have one of the SIG imported ones and no complaints.
