Well, pic was taken on an android phone, but then edited on my PC. Looks fine on PC but is upside down when posted. Had to flip it around in paint and re-post. Weird.

Yep, someone needs to make a comp/brake in 13.5x1LH with a QD blast shield accessory. *cough* griffin armament *cough*. Oh hey look , this one works with a A2 FH:

https://www.griffinarmament.com/Griffin-Armament-QD-Blast-Shield-p/gaqdbs1.htm

My gripe is I permanently attached a HK style Trilug mount to my 4.5" barrel. I want a blast shield for that.

Will this work for your HK Trilug?

"The Revolution Muzzle Brake is a 3-lug attachable muzzle brake designed on a specific request from a small unit. Snap on fitment to HK 3-lug couplers allows enhanced muzzle control. Replaceable muzzle brake cap allows user service when worn."

is that a 4.5 chop? barrel and HG?

i am getting ready to send mine in to ZRTS for a 4.5 chop and want that spikes barking spider 2. i am hoping to get the recessed look where you can't see where the comp threads onto the barrel.

does anyone know if the barrel is actually cut shorter than the HG? any info would help.

I'm wanting to do the same exact thing, I figured just chopping the barrel to 6" should do the trick.... or if you're chopping to 4.5", cut the hand guard to keep it 2" longer than the barrel

Saker mounts on an Omega 9k??? Tell me more!

I knew that Omega 9k could use Octane mounts, but this is the first I've heard about the Saker stuff being compatible as well...

I read somewhere buried on some forum (can't remember if it was here or somewhere else) that somebody was using a Saker direct-thread mount on their 9K because it was the shortest direct-thread mount available. I was skeptical myself about it working, so I emailed SiCo to verify that it was compatible, and they said it was good to go and that it does not invalidate the warranty.

Fits perfectly, and as you can see, nice and short and tucks nicely underneath the handguard. Very happy.

In related news, I've got a brand new Griffin 3-lug mount (barrel tip) and Octane 3-lug adapter that are now for sale. Originally thought I was gonna go 3-lug, but the shortness of direct-thread changed my mind.

The rugged obsidian 3 lug works perfectly in my 9k and I believe it has the lowest profile out there.

Gen 1 mpx. Tirant 9s with the AAC trilug coupler and HKparts triplug adapter. Barrel cut to 4.5" by ADCO. Lancer CF handguard. 14 months, still waiting on 4" sig aluminum handguard backorder. Im going to just call this complete. Definitely threw in the geissele 2s, the factory trigger is more than terrible. I am waiting on sig to open the flood gates for the sales on the uppers.

Are you sure its "saker" and not "Harvester"? I know the Harvester mounts are compatible with 9k and Octane, and people have been using the Harvester mount for a shorter direct thread option, but I didn't think Saker and Harvester thread patterns were the same...

Here is a Harvester and an Octane/Omega9k adapter next to each other.

I'm sorry, you're right. It is the Harvester. My brain had it swapped because the Harvester direct-thread mount uses a Saker tool to tighten. Thanks for correcting my brain fart.

lol. I was really shocked there for a minute.

Either way, the shorter OAL must be really nice. I was thinking of using the Harvester 5/8x24 mount for the Omega 9k on a 300blk, but I think that pushing the muzzle closer to the blast baffle might be a bad idea for 300blk supers.
