This is one of the best Sig 556's I've seen. The fixed stock is pretty cool.

Agreed... though I wish someone would make a cheek piece that did this:

Just got my CTR riser after at least 4 months on the backorder list.......

My 556......with CTR stock, 551 handguards, KNS front takedown/pivot pin, DTA mil brake,  and Hensoldt .223 BDC "BLITS" on ARMS mount........this gun can seriously perform with Federal 69gr BTHP match (target below)........

Top 5 rd group was after bore sighting......bottom 10 rd group at 100 yds sent me home happy

That Hensholdt is a neat scope.

This is most certainly a tag.

I'm really thinking I'm just going to get a 556 and quit waiting on the ACR.  The trigger on these guns is AWESOME.

Is this the first 556 SBR we've seen on here?   ...I believe it is! That's a great looking gun.

just wait for the dioplers! it may be the first SBR 556 as most of the SBRs are 556 to 551 conversions

as much as i liike the look of the folder, the ubr is just an all around better stock.

I'll post here since too since I'm not getting much response elsewhere:  Anyone know if the charging handle will interfere with a side canted doctor optic mounted 45 degrees off a scope base?  Looking at getting one of these for my newest 3 gun setup.

I think someone at Sig finally woke up or the drugs wore off.  Looks like what I have wanted them to sell since day 1.  Add an MFI top sight rail and front sight and it would be sweet.

would be nice if you could send in the old 556 lower and some cash and get a discount  on that lower, no one is going to want the older style  with that coming out

I'll keep my old style... I've had no problems with it this last year and change.

The new lower / stock looks neat... but it also looks like a gimmick to make the complainers happy.  It really adds no functionality to the rifle (aside from folding without the Ace adapter... but come on).

It is also a move towards more proprietary parts... which doesn't make alot of sense. It will also limit custimization; which, yes, doesn't matter to some people... but I see alot of different stocks on the 556s in this thread and I don't think people just grabbed whatever they had to throw on there.

My guess is, most of the people the bitched about it before, will still bitch about it now.  The 556 is indeed a bastard, but a talented one.  I don't see any need for Sig to 'make it better.'

I'd take an honestly ugly talented bastard, over a bastard who pretends to be 'legitimate.'

Of course, if these new ones do catch on... I should be able to grab some more original 556 rifles for cheap.

My Commando.  The only thing I've added was the EOTech 557.  I'm planning on adding Aurora front and rear sights, but I've only been able to find a rear sight so far.  I don't suppose anyone knows where to find a front sight, or a Sig factory 55x sight?  Thanks.

A group I got out of it the other day.  I must have adjusted my stock hold between groups 1 and 2, but I was very impressed with group 2.  This was with 69gr Federal Gold Medal Match.

I got one.  I don't have pics yet.  Its stock with the crappy BUIS, and a TLR-1 on the side rail, which works very well in that position.  Immediate planned mods include a millet DMS-1, and I'm still trying to decide what I want to do about better a better BUIS.  I'm thinking about going to a CTR or MOE stock, with riser, and getting the Samson front and Troy rear.  Pretty sure I'll need extra high scope rings in that case though, which won't work so well as it sits stock.  Stupid guns, costing me money.....

And I still need to get a CAN for it!!!

A new acquisition with a Trijicon RX30-

Will probably refinish the grip to match the rest sometime this weekend.  The Krylon Fusion paint I am using doesn't seem to be sticking to the forend very well...
