I am tired of using a ledger.  What options are available for small volume dealer.  I have seen some Ipad programs at restaurants which seem cool.  I have Quickbooks but find it awkward (I need a teacher).

You should look into these three

https://www.retailcloud.com/
https://ehopper.com/
http://www.imonggo.com/pricing/

These aren't firearm specific, but they are free and would work if you aren't carrying a lot of inventory. Like Imongggo limits you to 1000 products I don't know how much you are keeping on hand. Hope these help you, I looked into these three real heavy when I started developing my ffl software and wanted to model key features off of them.

Thank you. Are you using any of the payment functions?  I used Square for a while before they banned gun sales and dropped them.

I'm actually currently using a local bank link: https://www.bankoftexas.com/Business/Small-Business-Banking-and-Loans/Products-and-Services/Small-Business-Banking/Account-Services-for-Small-Business/Merchant-Services for any in person CC payment

I advise you to consider that option as well, especially if you have a really good relationship with your banker.

If you have anymore questions I can try to answer or help you find the answer.

Edit*

Actually you might want to look into this
https://www.shopify.com/pos/software
Their CC fee is a flat 2.4% for CC Processing (It's different if you run a over the web payment)

I used Lightspeed POS system in a Gun store for about a year and a half, and I could not recommend it enough. Extremely intuitive and easy to use software, more functionality than you will ever need, and cloud based. You can run it on iPads, In-Browser on computers, and on iphones, etc. It's nice being able to take an iPad and sell remotely at any location, or be able to input invoices from the house.

Also makes it super easy to create customer profiles, and manage returns, etc. Tracking sales is nice as well.

I'm doing research into credit card merchant service providers and came across this great resource.

https://www.cardpaymentoptions.com/credit-card-processing/gun-friendly-merchant-account-providers/

Called several of the companies already and most on the list provide merchant services for both in-person and online sales (online sales to another FFL, not direct to a customer). Initial customer service over the phone has been good too. Based on the user reviews, most of these companies seem legitimate.
