You need to file an amended application. Your license will still expire at the same time.

Wouldn't it also depend on the OP's business structure? As a sole proprietor he could move around, but if he forms an LLC then he'd have to close shop in one state and re-open it in the new, which would be a PITA.

I moved states about 3 years ago. It was a fairly pain free experience.
I was given a new interview at the new location, lasting around 2hrs. Not long after, I had the new FFL copy in hand. They want to see that everything is zoned correctly, you're doing your bound book correctly, and will probably do an audit if they have time. Basically, they treated the move like a new application. |
