Short, but to the point. I would expect a good showing come SHOT.

However, my question remains ... how accurate. 2100 seems like a lot for a 5.56 rifle.

$2100 might be a bit pricey for some, but bullpup fans will rejoice I think.

I don't think it will be limited to 5.56 either.

Anyone figure out why his thumb is on the right side/he's gripping it funny?

Waiting eagerly for more info on this one, but the MDR is likely my next purchase of significance.

I think he is shooting a 7.62 in the video. If not that's a lot of recoil for a 5.56.

That ejection port looks like a problem waiting to happen.

I noticed that on my phone. Now on a larger screen, I wonder where the mag release went. You can see straight through the square hole out the other side.
The pliers and allen wrenches were interesting to see on the table too… maybe he is holding it like that because the selector is busted on the left side??? He did switch from semi to full auto on that video.

7,62 by the width of the mag and stout recoil....

I noticed the reciprocating charging handle.... (yuck)
Wonder if he dinged his thumbs knuckle and that's why he was holding it like that

They addressed that in a thread in the bullpupforum.

Apparently this video is of a third generation prototype. The reciprocating
charging handle has already been fixed in the subsequent prototype.

That just looked plain awkward and uncomfortable to shoot.

The exaggerated Costa grip looks weird shooting that bullpup.

My understanding was the mdr was base 7.62 and they would offer conversion kits for 5.56 which is somewhat of a bummer for me as I'm set for 7.62 rifles

But that the shorter version would be 5.56 base.

It does look like he's holding it strangely but I'm still excited for it

That's the same weird chicken choking grip used nowadays by many of the three gun shooters.  It seems to work well for them but is very gun specific to the long handguard ARs.  Good for the gamers, but not suggested for use on a bullpup if you like being able to count to ten.

Seemed like a lot of recoil, even for a .308. Probably in need of a muzzle device and some adjustments to the gas system.

No, it will not be limited to 5.56

They're claiming they will have .308, 6.8, 300blk, 7.62x39 and 223 kits. While expensive, if this rifle can hold MOA (which, given DT's reputation, I expect it to) with the .223 and .308 models, I expect it to be the best bullpup available.

Thank you for embeding. Is that for Team Members only?

This is correct. The way they explained it when we ordered them was that the base has no caliber specific equipment. After you buy the base you pick the caliber kit you want to use and buy that. The kits are quick change. The 5.56mm and .308 will be the first calibers, the others will follow later.

As for the ejection port, it flips down to be a conventional port like an Aug or tavor, so if you don't trust it, just flip it down and roll conventional.
