Give em credit !!
Machining a receiver is part of the process of building a firearm.
Final assembly of components into a weapon/testing/QC and distribution is the BIG picture.
Sure, Steyr could buy, install all the CNC technology they needed, but it's still a business and they
would have to pass on that cost to the end user - us.
Instead they chose to pass off the CNC process to VLTOR - a respected manufacturer in the industry.
Good decision - cost savings
(You might be surprised "who" actually machined the upper/lower receivers of some of your AR's)
