Obscenely expensive, but it makes a SOCOM 16 into a 26.5 length overall and shifts the balance way back.  I'm seriously thinking about one.  Please talk me out of it.

Rather than shoehorn an M14 into a conversion stock, that $1300 can get you the STG556 and a healthy stack of mags. Like I said in the '14 forum, I'm leery of their claims that they're currently in use by Special Forces, Law Enforcement and Homeland Security. Nowadays there's too many people making these claims and nothing to back it up. It really makes me run in the opposite direction.

Alternatively, that $1300 can get you another M1A!

Or a truck load of ammo, or enough diesel to steam to Florida and back......

DAMN!  I still want one!  WTF is wrong with me?

Dang, them are 'spensive!

Weight is always a concern.  I wanted a M1A in a troy stock forever until I picked one up.  The sight says it adds 1.5 pounds to a M1A,  so your looking at around 11 pounds empty.  That's pretty darn heavy.

Cool product though.

Ok, I think I might have it under control.  I could get a Kel Tec bullpup 7.62 for the price, a shit load of ammo, fuel, booze, etc, or, and this is the big un.  I could get a mount and a good night sight for it.  MMMMMmmmmmm.

OK.  Breathing slowing to normal.  Hand is off the Visa card, and Oh shit.  Now I'm looking at more expensive toys.  I'm gonna have to put myself on an arfcom diet so I don't see all this stuff so often.

That  dough will insure the boat for a whole year, or provision it for three months.  Must focus on cruising not toys............focus.............focus........OK.  Not gonna buy it today.  One step at a time.

^^^^^^^ This.  It may be a few months before we see $1300 for the RFB. I got lucky and paid less than $1400. Great rifle though.

That thing looks badass.  I say if you really want it, go for it.  Since you took the time to post about it, I assume you have the itch pretty bad.  Probably won't go away untill you scratch it.

Buy an RFB and spend the difference on an optic, magazines, and ammunition.

looks like a POS to me. If it isnt fully ambidextrous, then I have no use for it. RFB FTMFW.

agreed....I would rather buy an RFB at full retail ($1800) than get the Bulldog kit.

Looks like mission accomplished...unless you're really in love with that "I made it in my basement" look.

Damn just Damn...That really makes you think about all of that AR way out there in the north 40. I guess you can make the AR's flash hider run point for you.

I have never used one, but I find it hard to believe that a conversion kit is going to give you the same quality trigger as the production Kel Tec RFB bullpup.

The RFB has one of the best bullpup triggers out there IMHO.

Why ruin your M1A?  Get the RFB...that's what I did.  There's no way I'd spend more than what I paid for my M1A to make it look like crap.

This!!!

I really like my Socom 16 the way it is.  I plan on getting an RFB to go with it.

a complementary rifle

common ammo.

One battle proven platform  and one cutting edge new design

what could be better?
