The guy at the gun shop said that he gets a call about once a week from Kel-tec telling him to pick up their ordered guns, but they have no idea what they are getting until they pick them up.

Sounds like the LGS-guy is blowing smoke, considering that Kel-Tec is exclusive through distributors. The only way to get them is through RSR, Sports South, etc. Unless there's some sort of ultra-special arrangement worked out that I've never heard of, no one is "going over to pick up guns" straight from Kel-Tec.

And FWIW, pretty much all of the distributors are totally out of stock on anything Kel-Tec. Nada. Zilch.

The reason he said about Friday is that Keltec told everyone that the rifle would be out at the end of Feb. I dont know about the rest of you, but if it gets pushed back again I will buy some other .308. Since the announcement by the Att. Gen. on the assault rifle ban, gun prices across the board is going to sky rocket.......

Awww, damn that's too bad. Well maybe you can line one up later.

The AG was talking out of turn. According to Pelosi nobody at the Obama White House has talked to her about it yet. I'm hoping we'll have until the fall at least.

Jesus, I wish people would stop freaking out so much. OK, yes eventually a new Ban will happen but NOT THIS WEEK. Please don't end up like one of those guys on gunbroker who pays $2,500 for a Century Arms AK-47 because people are telling you guns are going to be outlawed tomorrow

I agree totally about price jacking. Ive been trying to make up my mind on what .308 when I saw the Keltec vid. As Ive mentioned before, I already have an STG556 and really love the bullpup. But, even though the ban may not happen until Sept or even next year the prices on all assault type weapons across the board will go up. I will bet that by next weekend prices will be jacked by $200-$500. With that being said I just couldnt wait on the maybe factor of Keltec, they kept putting off getting the rifle out so I just went for the AR10 which I actually love now that I shot it today............Man, there is a big difference in the kick and bang from the STG556 to the .308. Sorta like hitting a bump while driving on the road with the 5.56 to hitting a speed bump at 30 mph with the AR10, which was nothing compared to shooting my brothers Saiga 12 gauge with buckshot which I also shot today. My shoulder is really gonna be blue tomorrow.

My dealer is hitting up distributors for a few RFB's. Who knows when I'll get one but maybe he'll get lucky.

It'd be nice if they decided to make a CA legal version w/a bullet button, or something along those lines.

Man, do I hate livin' in Cali...*kicks the dirt*...

What makes you think one won't be developed? The California community has developed kits for legal FS-2000s, MSARs, and P-90s, and damned if I'm not going to find a way to convert my AXR. It's just a matter of machining. The RFB is certainly on my consideration list, here in CA.

AFAIC, for $1500-$2000, it's a dead letter. Someone wake me up when a reasonably price 308 semi-auto hits the market.

"Reasonably priced" and ".308" are mutually exclusive terms. You 'gotta pay to play.

If you wait for a decently priced 308 semi then you'll never have one. INMHO

$1187.98 to Dealers.

$1880.00 MSRP.

5-7 lbs. trigger pull standard. This should be an amazing match grade quality trigger, which is awesome for a bullpup.

At an MSRP of $1880.00 and the dealer price of $1187.98 I would think you could score one at around $1700 if you don't have to get one the minute they come out.

That's a hell of a deal for a .308 rifle. It's also a hell of deal for a bullpup. Price out decent .308 rifles and you'll be hard pressed to find one much cheaper.

If the get good distribution even with the Obama crazy buying still should be able to get one for MSRP.

Oh, he can always go buy a Saiga .308.

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=123799672

$600 or so, and you've got a brand-new .308 Winchester semi-auto "evil rifle". Of course, it has a shitty trigger, crappy ergonomics, a safety apparently designed for orangutans, sights that would make Simo Hayha wince, no pistol grip, it's not ambidextrous, it chews up brass (and flings them into low earth orbit), the mags are expensive/hard-to-find, and it's a good foot or so longer than the RFB.

But hey, at least it's cheap!

Well... FWIW I talked to someone today that sells something to Kel Tek that they will use for the RFB. He also told me that since they sell Kel Tek what they sell them that he would have thought that they would have one in hand for testing by now.

He told me that Kel Tek has informed the distributors that the gun is coming. Telling the distributors they're coming and then not shipping would cause problems for them so I think they're about to ship.
If they shipped some out already it appears that nobody that I've talked to in the industry has seen any of them or heard of any of them being available.

I hope they're available soon cause it's one of the last "wants" on my battle rifle list.

I've checked Davidsons, and they've got the RFB in their system now. It is listed as Allocated, which means that my local gun shop will not be getting one anytime soon. The price for my shop is listed as $1,391.49.
