They are a 123gr spire point.

Down in the fine print it says they are good up 1,900fps.

I am wondering if they will disintegrate if midair if you try to push them faster than 1,900fps.

Minor hijack...

What do you shoot them out of dryflash?

At dryflash, what kinda velocities are you getting out of your lead and powder coated projectiles for 7.62X39?

Are you using a gas check?

I ask because I still have a MiHec mould in .308ish cal that I could also put the hollow point pins in.

I use the Berry's .311's in x39. They work OK, can't get great groups but 3'' @ 50yrds aint too bad. They don't shoot very well past that. Maybe it's me or the iron sights or the bullets, IDK.

I have them up about 2200 fps according to Hornady manual. I tried for a lower velocity like Dryflash gets but got A LOT of unburnt powder fouling in the locking lug area. I posted a question here about it and was told it's nitrocellulose that has the graphite coating blown off. I went up with the charge till it went away and got good groups. I've recovered many of these bullets and there is no sign of anything being out of order with them. They can handle the higher speed. I use them in an M-1 Garand without resizing and they shoot very well, much better than an AK anyways. That load is pushing them at 2400 fps, again recovered bullets show no sign of problems.

I recently got a bunch of X-treme plated bullets but haven't tested them yet.

That new stuff I bought last year at a funshow. Shooter's World Blackout.

The sales guy said it is what the europeans use. He is right, it does work well, just not with light loads.

I also use H-4198 for more accurate, better bullets and better groups.

I bought an 8lb jug cheap so I have to do something with it. When it's gone, no more.

I mostly use that load with a Slide-fire stock so it's just a cheap blasting ammo for fun load.

I don't use Berry's as I found Extreme's bullets more accurate in general.

The Extreme 123's shoot very well at about 1800 fps.

I would load them up and shoot, stay with the 1800 fps speed limit.

I agree about X-Tremes being more accurate than Berrys.  I've switched to X-Treme in 40 and 45 cal for pistol and I shoot a ton of their 158grn .357 bullets in my leverguns at over 1,800fps with very good results.  I've used them to shoot at bowling pins at 200yds steel plates at 300yds with my Rossi 24" rifle.  They seem to be as accurate as my Zero JSP loads.  In addition, I've worked up a 30-30 plinking load with their 150grn plated bullet at slightly over 2,000fps too.  Loaded properly and not over crimped (so as to avoid cutting through the plating) I've been very happy with the results.

While I haven't tried their 123grn FP 7.62x39 bullets, I'd suggest you give them a try.
