I don't see why they wouldn't work, and I know dryflash made his own but these are pretty cheap.

Seems like a stupid question since they are both 7/8"x14 but any reason they wont work? Anyone use them?

Any 7/8x14 threaded die will work.

I had my Lee FCD locked into a hornady lock ring.

I only use Hornady rings.

They lock tight and no set screws damaging the threads of the dies.

All of the major die makers' lock rings will work with all standard dies; that's the thing about "standards."

There are some situations where you might need a different lock ring for some purpose, such as to get a die just a bit lower in the press.  Dillon has very thin lock rings that helped me handle this situation.  But otherwise, I really like Hornady's and Forster's (both very similar) lock rings.

Yes.  I got rid of my Lyman lock rings and replaced them with Lee rings,

The rings are pretty much interchangeable.

I've replaced most all of my lock rings with Hornady rings.  The only place I don't like them is on my single stage press - I use a Forster Co-ax and the wrenching flats on the Hornady rings don't work real well.  I have some older Lyman and / or RCBS split rings though that don't have the wrenching flats.  I use those on cartridges I use on the Forster, and I use the Hornadys on everything else.
