Anyone know of a substitute for Lemishine, used in stainless steel pin tumbling? Seems the local wally land doesn't carry the stuff.

Try pure Citric Acid from the canning section. I believe that is the "active ingredient" of lemishine. Use less as it more concentrated.

Yes, Ball Citric acid works fine. A little goes a long way, don't get the Ball Fruit-Fresh.

Walmart isn't the only retailer that carries it so shop around.

Walmart doesn't carry the Lemishine here either, but Target does.

Lemishine changed the name/label.  It's now the lemi shine Booster.

Try Bar Keepers Friend.

http://www.amazon.com/Bar-Keepers-Friend-Liquid-Cleaner/dp/B007UTJR7G/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1436127836&sr=8-5&keywords=Bar+Keepers+Friend

It's got the chelating agent oxalic acid in it.

Try Lowes. I saw it there a few days ago when picking up some other stuff.

It was near the oven parts, along with some other cleaners and such.

No Lowes for a very long way here in VT. There was one a couple of years ago, but it went out of business....

My local grocery chain carried LemiShine - for less than Wal-Mart wants for it, too.

I ordered 10 pounds of citric acid off amazon iirc $25 shipped.  Use it for tumbling and in the dishwasher.

It still just says Limi Shine Original on the label. That is what they are calling the "detergent booster" on the back of the label.

I just bought mine within the last few months.
