Im putting together a G34 to shoot in USPSA production, gun is still using the factory 5.32" barrel.

im using 115gr FMJ's to work up a load to the 125 power factor which gives me an average target velocity of 1088fps
I was surprised at the results of my plinking loads already meet power factor and feel pretty mild from the G34, I am basically wanting to check with others to see if the velocities I got over the weekend are accurate and my chrono isnt off.

They look pretty close to what is expected.

Why 115gr?

I run a G34 Production and shoot 124gr, lots of guys run 147 as well. I've rarely seen folks shoot 115gn

Yep, your numbers jive up with mine.

Just me, personally, I preferred the 147 grainers for 9mm at minor PF.  The gun seemed to give more a push straight back and less muzzle flip or snappiness.

Only reason im loading the 115's is I have about 3k of them, they were considerably cheaper.

this weekend I was planning to pick up some 124's and maybe 147's to try out.

the 115's at 4.8 grains feel like puppy loads I couldnt imagine it being much softer. Maybe I just have a really good grip.
I didnt have any problems smoking the A zone with some pretty quick splits.

What 124 and 147 bullets are you guys using?

If you have them, posting ES and SD #s are useful.
Your 4.8 load is fine, assuming no wide ES, as it's a PF of 131 - you have to make a PF (bullet weight in grains * velocity / 1000) of 125 for many gun games; most of us load to ~130 or a bit higher.

Bayou Bullets (Donnie Miculeks brother), SNS, BBI, Blue Bullets all make quality coated 124 and 147gr bullets at reasonable prices.
For no more accuracy but a bit higher price except for on sale, Xtreme plateds are pretty decent.
For sometimes slightly more accuracy in a jacketed bullet, and at higher price, Montana Gold, Precision Delta or Zero all make quality 115, 124, and 147gr bullets.  If going this route, get the JHPs, IMO - flatter base and rearward weight likely contributes to their minor accuracy advantage vs FMJ.

I was shooting the 124ish hollow points by Montana Gold in my USPSA Open gun at major power factor.  Then used the 147 FMJ'S at minor PF for production.

It made it easier for me to keep my major ammo separate from my minor ammo....instead of just using 124's FMJ's for everything.

The 147's I mentioned earlier for production division were over a fast powder like Titegroup....by the way.

Cool. I use 5gn of Unique with a 115gn. They work fine in my M&P. Thanks for the info.
