I've got some 1680, and H110.  Will be loading some 150gr Hornady bullets.

I've got the brass cleaned, sized, and trimmed (1.365), just ready for load workup.

Any suggestions as to which of those 2 powders would be easier to work with for a first time .300blk guy?

Will be shooting it out of my 8.2" Noveske SBR.

I also don't have any reloading manuals that have .300blk in them.  I'll be getting some, but for now, will be just using Accurate's, and Hodgdon's website for data.

I did mine last week. I've been hooked on the cartridge ever since! Congrats man and continue having fun!

I'd try the H110 for supersonic loads. Note that Hodgdon's use of the Interbond bullet shows an overall length too long for the 150 fmj-bt Hornady. Check the 2nd post in this discussion:

I think you'll have more reliable feeding from AR mags from 2.065-2.80".  Whatever brass you use make sure the neck diameter with a seated bullet is less than .334".

Well, I changed plans a bit, used 155gr Sierra HPBT bullets.  Seated them to 2.190" with 18.6gr of 1680.

They appear to not fit that great in the magazine - probably something to do with what RG1 posted.

I'm still slightly confused on the issue - how can I ensure whatever bullet I'm loading will work correctly?  From what I can gather, the issue is not seating the bullet enough, or too long COAL?

Looking at the link RG1 provided, it lists a sierra palma 155gr @ 2.150", but thats for the Palma's.
