Got the press all set up to load 45 acp last night and went out this morning to get started when I got a primer stuck in my only large primer pick up tube.

Ordered 4 new tubes from Dillon as well as a trim die, tool head and stand so I can also use the RT 1500 I got for Christmas.

I counted the pulled .30 Carbine bullets I cleaned up over the last several days.  It came out to over 2,450 bullets.  I stored them in four heavy-duty corrugated cardboard boxes - they weigh about 10 pounds each - to make things easier to manage.

I used the technique posted in a video here, where you basically pour cases over a tray from a pistol ammunition package, and it worked exceptionally well.  The trays were for 9mm, and they let me stack two bullets in every slot, so counting by 100s was pretty easy, and pretty darn quick.

Counting and putting away the bullets cleared up a lot of space in my loading room, making it easier to move around.    I still gotta get a couple of bricks of Winchester Small Rifle primers...

Saturday, I went to the swap meet at my local gun club and dropped $500.00. 1000 Zero 230 FMJs, 1000 Extreme 230 FMJs, 500 Extreme 124 FMJs, 1 case (5000)of Federal Gold Medal match LPPs, and 7 50 ct. boxes of factory 45 acp (for my b-i-l's). Monday I cranked out another 200 rounds of 38 spl. I've still got about 1k of primed .38 spcl to go before I switch over the lock-n-load to something else. .45ACP, .223, 9mm, & 7.62x40 are all waiting their turn. Work keeps interfering with my reloading!

10mm God's have came knocking.

What a quite expensive start for this new to me caliber.

I'm in it for $500.00 already in dies, brass cases and powder only, with not one cartridge loaded yet.

Primers, bullets and Gun not included.

I just got done doing some load testing using Longshot with 165gr and 180gr Speer Gold Dots. The results were impressive. Longshot will definitely give you a full powered 10mm load. Hodgdon's load data for Longshot with a 180gr bullet is 8.5gr to 9.5gr. At the max load of 9.5gr, they averaged 1193 fps out of my G29, 1257 fps out of my Sig P220, and 1330 fps out of my G20 with a 6" LW barrel. No signs of excessive pressure that I could see.

Learned i need to either wet tumble or add some polish to my dry tumble. I was a bit disappointed in how the cases turned out. And to top it all off some media got stuck in about 20% of the flash holes.

I'd bite the bullet () and get a wet tumbling setup.  You'll be very spoiled by how clean your brass is.

My (trivial) input for today: I'm researching 120 grain bullet loads for 300 Blackout, since I have some very nice Highborn bullets that I need to get busy with.  I haven't decided exactly what else I want to do in the Blackout world at the moment, but I want a nice plinking load and these bullets seem to be just the thing for that.

Unloaded a lot of 45 ACP and some 300 BLK.  Once I get done cleaning guns will get the brass sorted and tumbling.

Just tumbled about 500 cases of 9mm today myself.  I'd recommend NuFinish if you want to add some polish(add it before you put the brass in,  then let it tumble for a few minutes). As far as media getting stuck, it sucks. I had that happen to probably 10% today. There is a certain grit that won't get stuck, but i don't recall what size that is.

I can't help you with wet tumbling,  but those cases always look awesome.

Inventoried my components and realized I need to pick up a few more items. Most of my powders are AR-Comp, TAC, 8208XBR for rifle and True Blue with a little bit of Silhouette for pistol.

I'm really pissed I didn't scoop up more Wolf or Tula primers for rifle. So I've gone to the next cheapest route of S&B. My pistol primers are still CCI.

I try to keep loads down to a small number of variables.

I had a little extra time this afternoon, so I double checked the other .308 bullets I had on hand.  Then I noticed that some of my containers of brass didn't have any labels.  Sure, that's a jar full of .223 brass, but other than clean, what's up with that?  So I went through all the unlabeled jars and either verified the cases were sized and trimmed, or not.  Then I labeled everything I had gone through.

Finally, I sorted out the brass I'd cleaned earlier in the week (or was it last weekend?).  It was all "30 caliber" brass, but it had .30 Carbine, 300 Blackout, .32 Auto, .308, and some other stuff in it too.  And, I discovered, some .32-20 brass, which looks like a rimmed version of .30 Carbine.  So I not only separated the obviously different cases, but I wound up basically fondling 150 or so cases to make sure it was - or wasn't - .30 Carbine.  Not much fun, but it's something that needed doing.

Went to a local fun show today looking for primers. Nobody had anything except shotgun primers.

I ended up getting a couple pounds each of CFE Pistol, CFE 223 and titegroup.

I thought my big find of the show was an old Ohaus 10-10 scale I picked up cheap. Turns out it is missing the graduated indicator for reading adjustments over the micrometer.

Anybody know where I can find this part? Should I send it back to Ohaus for servicing?

Spent a couple hours sorting all My range find brass from over the last couple trips.

Man, I got a lot of 9MM and .40.

Getting a good pile of .45 as well.

Got two more .223 batches to decap and swage, then switch over to .45 and .308, then switch to 9MM, then switch to .40. Mean while doing wet tumble batches.

I can see why if money was no object, I'd have 4 1050's.

Current events pushed me to place a component order I had been meaning to for a while. Primers were cheap at Cabelas so that helped.

Loaded 20 rounds of .308 for testing. Decided I really like spherical powders. Stick is great, but using a powder dump instead of weighing charges is so much faster...

Finally had a day to myself.

I cleaned and organized my reloading/work benches.

Sorted a 50 cal can of range pickups from my last unloading session.

Finished inventory of my ammo supply.

Took inventory of my reloading supplies.

Cleaned and lubed my press.

Loaded 600 rounds of .223.

Swept up my shop.

Now I really want to place a reloading supply order but I just dropped nearly $800 at Cabela's on Friday on ammo and some powder. I need bullets for .30-06/.308 and .45ACP. I do want to fortify my powder supply for .30-06/.308 and .223 projectiles.

Yesterday I switched the LNL over to 9mm and got everything set up, lubed, and punched out a quick 100 of 124 gr. RMR plated bullets over 4.0 gr. of Win 231. I'll try to do about 100 each night this week to build up inventory.

This morning headed to the range trying to beat wind and heat to run load development on 55 VMax and 52 SMK's in my 18" LaRue barrel AR. Ran the Magnetospeed during the group testing, so have to download that information and log it yet tonight.

Was shown a new area to shoot at with a local member, we found a huge pile of 9x19. So I got all of that plus what I had shot while breaking in my newest VP9 and am now tumbling it and have a huge pile of .45 ACP to tumble too. Probably do that tomorrow, I can only process so much at a time before I start getting burnt out.

Yesterday cleaned 300 pieces of fired 5.56 brass that I had shot thru a suppressor on a prairie dog trip in June of '15. The cases were so stained/embedded with carbon that tumbling them in corn cob media did minimum improvement.  I used the "LemiShine" technique I came across in this forum a few weeks back.

Worked great! Took most of the carbon off. I plan on running them thru a tumbler once more.

Loaded 200 .308 Win on Dillon 550 after installing secondary UniqueTek powder baffle. I am loading 42.0gr of IMR-4895. The second baffle has made a significant improvement in more accurate powder charges.
