Thanks!  I hadn't seen that before.  I need to research the two headstamps in their pictures - like I'd said: some Com Bloc 7.62x54 used different primers from "the official" size.

RE: x54 brass.. i did the math a couple years ago and went with store bought x54 brass ammo to start with. Wasnt all that much more than brass.. like 75c vs 60c.. You cant load load it for 15c.. eh.. unless using old primers and powder and casting maybe..

Edit.. here is an example... I did the same with my 7.5 swiss, 8mm mauser too.

Cabela's has 10% off everything and free shipping over $99 using code 56 SALUTE

In addition, all Hornday tools and presses are already 15% off

If you sign up with active junky, you get another 6% cash back

I bought a couple of carbide pistol die sets and I believe they came out to just under $34 shipped each.

I'm a Dillon guy, but if you are wanting a LNL AP press, I think it comes out to $320 shipped.  Not bad at all.

Not sure if they are online today, but I have always had good luck asking the chat people on Opticsplanet.com to match prices. They matched an Amazon price on the PC7 in December for me. Of course, I didn't tell them I would have had to pay tax on Amazon.

That is a great price on the LNL.

Looking for somewhere to buy as well as size recommendation (I've never looked into supers for 300blk.. Just subs which have been a blast now that they are affordable to shoot suppressed)

You can use anything, really.  I've had good results with 110s and 150s.  These were Sierra Varmintmaster 110 grain HPs, for about $26/100 at Graf's; and Hornady 150 grain FMJs and 150 grain soft points, for about $23-25/100 at Midway.  If you shop around, you can find these and similar bullets for less.  I'm thinking about trying some of the newer (to me, anyway) 125 grain bullets next time I load 300s.

I've even loaded .30 Carbine FMJs with good results, though seating depth needs some TLC to get them to feed.

I'm really after 77 grain bullets at this time BUT the cheap bastard in me couldn't pass up on this price.  Thanks for the tip.  I have a full box of 1000 on the bench already, but there is room for another 1000.

Haven't pulled the trigger yet on a 77 grain, long range bullet yet.  Still looking for deals on these.  Thanks

When buying that many, better deals in 6k case:
http://www.brownells.com/reloading/bullets/rifle-bullets/bulk-rifle-bullets-prod55232.aspx?cm_sp=Home%20Page%20Banner-_-Reloading-_-Hornady_Bulk_Rifle_Bullets

Brownells regularly (including right now) have free shipping coupons too. They also have a $35 off 300 coupon going for weekend... L4W is code. If you don't have edge membership, you still are likely better off using that coupon since shipping is probably about $16. With edge membership, the cost is about 64c each.

Keep your eye on the EE. It's usually once fired but it's cheaper than any site you're gonna find.

So if you call Hitech ammo and speak with the owner and are PERSISTENT you can get .308 150 gr FMJ pulldown bullets for $135/k + s/h... I bought 4k for $140.50/k shipped!  Hitech is great company to deal with and the bullets look new!

There's also a fellow on the EE selling once-fired 2011-2012 Lake City 7.62x51mm brass for $87/k shipped...

Another tip...  if you call American Reloading and manage get through to the owner Jesse, he may be able to hook you up with pull down WC 846 (I'm long on powder, so haven't pursued this...).
