That looks great.  I have an Esee 4, but don't really carry it, so the stock Kydex sheath is fine.

Nice work.

Very nice work!    Any photos of the other side (back) of the sheath?

Sorry I didn't take any of the back. I actually gave the knife and sheath to my old man because he liked it so much.  Next time I go over to his place I'll try to remember to take a pic of the back.

Nice work!
Your stitching is nice and clean.
I see that you used a groover for the stitching as well as the additional decorative work.
Did you use vinegaroon or a dye or did you buy the leather black already.

Thanks!
Yeah I prefer fiebings pro oil dye for my dye. I haven't tried vinegaroon but know a guy that loves it.
Stitching was done by hand and yes I always use stitching groover to get the thread Down a little.

Do you have other pictures of the process you went through?

I love watching a craftsman create something through the process (not just the finished product).

Looks good, but try to get some pricking irons - they make for a very neat/stylish look to hand sewn work
A couple of edge shaves are worth looking for too

I stopped using a stitch groover about 15 years ago when I started sewing full time.

Pricking irons won't go through 1/2" to 3/4" thick leather sheath.  hard to tell in the pic but I do shave the edge slightly too.  If I didn't hand sew I wouldn't use a stitch groover. Currently saving up for a machine.  But every time I get the money I buy a new gun instead lol

I actually haven't tried basket weave. No one has ever asked for it yet so I haven't messed with it.
Maybe the next sheath I make for myself ill experiment with some patterns.
