I just took inventory of what I have on hand for  just mt one 50 bmg single shot rifle.
Primers 2300
Brass 110
Blue tip- 97
Ap -150
Api -162
Ball -550
Trace -100
S/t -41
Barmes 647 xtb -28

And only 350 mix between factory and reloads

It looks like I have more in ammo then I paid for the upper.

What I do need is about 16 pounds of powder.
Where is the best place to buy surplus 50 bmg powder?

I have used them before but they are out of  IMR 5010, this is the powder I have used since I started loading the 50
and dont know much about the others they list.

What can you tell me about
WC870   and WC872 powders, He has these in stock for a good price.

I bought a bunch of the wc 860 and load everything with it. But that doesn't help you since he is out of stock.

WC872 works well with heavier projectiles (800 grain +).

Its consistency has been reported to be better if loaded rounds are heated to 120 degrees before chambering and firing ( a trick also used for V.V. 20N29 powder users).

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

As for ammo, I have 1200 rounds total of Ball, Tracer, Incendiary, AP, API, mixed per can full, most of which I currently can't use due to my Match chambering. When this barrel loses its accuracy, I will re-chamber with a MilSpec reamer.

As for Reloads ?????????????
100 cases of IK-98 Match prepped
140 cases of IK-98 not prepped

130 cases of French brass Match prepped

170 cases of TZZ-95 Match Prepped
90 cases of TZZ-00 new, not prepped

276 cases of LC-11-13 Match prepped

84 cases of TW-45 Match prepped - not used

and many others of not sufficient quantity to use for a FCSA Sanctioned Match.

I have a simi match chamber. It takes most rounds but tends to stick on ejections of mil spec rounds once fired. Never had issue with my handloads

How much better does the match ammo shoot over standard?

Lots better !!!

My reloads have shot a 4" 5-shot group at 1000 yards during a 2010 FCSA Sanctioned Match.

In 2014, I shot 2 Screamers and 4 Yellers during a Spring Alliance Match.

Note: I missed many Matches due to health reasons, hopefully will shoot more matches this year.

Screamers are 5-shots under 7" - Yellers are 5-shots under 1 MOA = 10.470"
All measured Center-to-Center.

Surplus; dependent upon manufacturer, purpose, and age; shoots much larger typically 2 to 3 MOA at best.

1000 yard World Records at FCSA are 1.955 and 2.045" groups dependent on Class shot.
I was working in Pits while 2.045" group was shot at Alliance by Patrick Bieck.
It was exciting to watch, but his next 2 groups were well over 16" due to the excitement.

I think if eletriction went another way we might  have been using the ammo and not talking about it.

How much do you shoot?

With what I have on hand it can last me a long time because I can only shoot my 50 very limited  and mostly in 10 to 20 rounds a session.

I'm pretty much in your situation until I can find a longer range.  I only keep a large supply of milsrup pulls on hand just in case some a-hole with a phone and a pen decides that I shouldn't be able to buy them anymore.
