Try State Arms/Eastridge Gun Co and talk to Larry. Guy I know had them build a receiver that used an M2 barrel.
Don't expect world class accuracy using an M2 barrel, they were never designed for that. 1 1/2-2 MOA would probably be the norm, you might get a little better or worse depending on the barrel. This is where I would start and then go from there. |

Well, there goes that idea. Went to get my taxes done, expecting to get about $1500 back, and instead I owe about $1600.

The stellite chamber lining doesn't lend itself well to accuracy.
Barrets first M82 barrels were turned down M2 barrels. The accuracy is atrocious. |

They were selling two types, one was steel, the other was stellite lined. I imagine the silver on the last 3 or 4 inches of the barrel indicate stellite, but the pictures in these ads both had the silver tip. Mine appears to have been made by Sabre in 2008. |

There is, the problem is finding it.
The book you want is for the Maadi Griffin. If you're a DIY person and have access to make your own parts... The MG kit was for the 50 BMG but it could be up scaled for the 20mm. It uses a shell holder type of bolt, not fast to reload but with either caliber it doesn't matter. |

The stellite liner is in the chamber, it was to prolong the life of the chamber/throat. Heat from firing those big rounds will blow the throat out before the rifling.
Most people can cut the chamber end off their barrel and have it set back. Save you from buying a new barrel if the rifling is still good. |
