I was asked to look at some brass by a guy with an unknown .50.
He was referred to me by the FCSA office.

the chamber has issues, and causes raised lines on the brass and hard extraction.

Looking at the pictures of the gun, it looks like a Bohica or Zel custom Taclite.

there is nothing written on the upper denoting a manufacturer.

My question; does anyone here have a Bohica or Taclite that can tell me if
the upper receiver is devoid of a manufacturer marking?

I'm trying to figure out what this guy has before I send him to a gunsmith.

Thanks.

If the lines go around the case, like a ring, it's an issue with chamber cutting.  The rough cut was made and the finish reamer didn't go deep enough to complete the chambering process.  The resulting chamber isn't consistent in diameter, during its full length

All the Bohicas I've seen were  clearly marked, though there were 4 or so different models.

My zel T-1 is very clearly marked on left side.
I can not think of the rounds name but a round was made that is from a slightly cut back 50 BMG  to comply with California stupid laws. Could this be chambered for that round?

I don't have a good picture of the rifle, will post some of the brass.

Thing is, the guy says the first few times he fired it there was no problem.

I'll see what I can get picture wise.

Guarantee a rifle chambered in 510DTC will not chamber a BMG round.

Mine is also clearly laser etched. Rather large actually.

Didn't Blackthorne or Hesse or whatever they changed their name to make an AR upper in .50 BMG that looked very similar to the BOHICA's and ZEL's?  I wouldn't be surprised if their uppers are devoid of any markings.

I haven't seen that, but that would be scary.

I've dealt with the bolt action Vulcans, and nothing surprises me with them.
